The site is home to Southern California's Weather Service. The Web site outline is growing fast over the future, providing weather forecasts, watches, and warnings to the Southern California area. The site is projected to become the number one source for up-to-date weather information.
Whether it is the snow levels, santa ana wind speeds, fire danger, marine weather, or anything in Southern California, the SCWXA is taking a stab at it. Many in professional fields such as truckers, boaters, and even firefighters trust the service provided.
A bit about me: I am the guy that does every single forecast word you see on this site. I also am the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway weather guy, and also am the Los Angeles Weather Examiner at Examiner.com -
I've been building what I have today for over 10 years, and without the help of others in the weather field, but the help of the viewers that trust the services, I'll continue to get this Web site to the goal. What is this goal?
The goal is a one stop place to drop forecast center for the entire Southern California region. Sure, I do this already, however, more have to show up, we are a kept secret! The other goal is live reprots. In the future I would like to have jobs open for reporters who will go out during events and report live, connected back to the Web site video server for viewers to see. I also will have a few more job positions that would be full-time that would be filled.
For photographers, the SCWXA future goal is to pay you for your photographs. I write news stories on Examiner, or post it on this Web site, and would love to pay you for your hard work and best photos of events we have across the Southland. You send them, SCWXA reviews them, a decision gets made, and you get paid. I am not talking about $10 a picture or even $50 a photo, you need to make a living as well and I know the value of hard work, trust me.
